Welcome! to The Intelligent Jobsite—a resource hub for construction professionals who want to work smarter, not harder. If you’re new to the industry, managing projects, estimating bids, or just trying to keep up with how fast the tech landscape is changing, you’re in the right place.
Who Am I
Hi! I’m Hank. My real name’s Aaron Henry, but no one calls me that unless it’s on official paperwork. I’m a project manager, estimator and overall fan of all things technology. I live in beautiful British Columbia, Canada and over the years I’ve had the chance to work on everything from residential renovations to large-scale projects, and in that time, I’ve come to one big realization:
The construction industry is evolving—and the people who embrace technology in a meaningful, productive way will lead the pack.
That’s what this blog is all about.
Why I Started This Blog
I created The Intelligent Jobsite to help newcomers—and even seasoned pros—navigate the intersection of construction and technology. Whether it’s exploring AI-assisted programs, improving field communication, streamlining documentation, or building a more efficient workflow, my goal is to break it down in plain language, using real-world examples from my experience over the years.
Hopefully you’ll get some practical insight from someone who’s in the trenches with you.
What You’ll Find Here
I have one simple rule. I will only write about topics that interest me and find engaging. Hopefully that will be reflected in my writing. You can expect to see posts on:
- AI tools in estimating and project planning
- Digital workflows for day to day efficiency
- Field-tested tech reviews
- Templates, tools, and tips you can actually use
- Stories from my own wins (and mistakes)
Everything I post is meant to help you save time, reduce stress, and build better—whether you’re in the field or at your desk. There also might be the odd tangent that goes off topic which I hope that you still find informative or entertaining.
Let’s Connect
If this sounds like your kind of thing, stick around. Check out the latest posts, subscribe for updates, or follow me on LinkedIn for more thoughts from the field.
And if you’ve got a question or a topic you’d like covered—drop me a line. I’m always up for a good conversation about how to make our industry better.
